Authentic Relating and the Original Circling® Approach

What is The Original Circling® Approach?

The Original Circling® Approach teaches how to have a deep, meaningful conversation with someone. It is the “how-to” behind those conversations that we sometimes stumble out of in which we found ourselves feeling so deeply understood. It is not therapy, nor counseling. It is the kind of deep listening we wish was more common to our everyday interactions and not a rarity.

What to Expect

This will be a three-hour session designed to foster the experience of being and feeling truly seen, heard, and understood by others.

After introductions and a few games, we will break into groups for circles. Each circle will include a facilitator who will guide a conversation with a group of 3-4 people. The conversation topic is chosen by one person, something they feel is currently present for them in their life or in the moment. The facilitator will guide the conversation to help explore the topic for that person and ask others in the group to also participate.

As a group we all learn how to listen deeply to someone and really understand what it means to walk in their shoes, without indulging the common urge to give advice or problem solve.
