About Dr. K

Dr. K is passionate about helping individuals with complex medical conditions break free from the conventional paradigm where illness is simply managed.

She focuses on optimizing each individual’s unique underlying environmental, genetic and physiologic imbalance, which lie at the root cause of chronic disease.

Her Functional Medicine team, including Functional Medicine Doctors, Lifestyle Coaches, and Nutritionists work with her patients to develop individualized wellness protocols to optimize diets, eliminate toxins, improve tolerance to stress, revitalize the microbiome, reverse key nutrient deficiencies, promote sleep, and cultivate better lifestyle choices so that patients may achieve optimal wellness.

Dr. K has a special interest in metabolism and weight loss resistance, thyroid health, autoimmune, digestive health, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, hormone health (PCOS, menopause, PMS), diabetes, longevity, and brain health.

Education

Dr. K graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honors Science degree in Kinesiology. She received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine diploma after completing four years of post-graduate medical education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has successfully completed a certification in Therapeutic Prescribing and is licensed to prescribe Bio-identical hormones and Desiccated Thyroid in Ontario. Dr. K is also certified in First Line Therapy (FLT), an advanced certification program in recognizing the barriers to weight loss and helping patients achieve optimal body composition. She is a certified Functional Medicine Practitioner from The Institute For Functional Medicine.

Dr. K is licensed in Ontario through the Board of Drugless Practitioners (BDDT-N). She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
